Some of my latest reads but due to parental duties…I have yet to write a review;

• Irma Grese – The Beast of Belsen
• Hitler’s Children: Sons and Daughters of Third Reich Leader by Gerald Posner
• The Pharmacist of Auschwitz: The Untold Story by Patricia Posner

As you can see, there is a clear theme. I have previously mentioned that I often read a genre of book and then simply have to know more. I read the tattooist of Auschwitz, which lead me on to 5 Chimneys in which Irma Grese featured heavily in. I had to know more about this she-devil, there are parts of me that regret my further reading, but it is the world’s history and should never be forgotten.

Hitler’s Children was a particularly fascinating read as the breadth of relationship and opinion these offspring had of their parents was so varied, from those who actively despise their parent to those that refuse to comment because of the love and respect they still hold for the parent.

Out of this list of books, if I were to recommend one, it would be Hitler’s Children.
